There is no admission to the building during the last 15 minutes of opening.
* During periods when Counter Services are closed self-issue is available from the main collection only.
*** Except during the Easter Vacation, when Counter Services close at 16:45.
We are closed Good Friday-Easter Monday inclusive. Also August bank holiday weekend Sat-Mon inclusive.

Library Closing Routines
The Library is a large building. We need a 15 minute period at the end of each day to clear the building and close down safely.
Please help us by observing the closing routines:
- 1 warning bell: Issue and Enquiry desk closing in 15 minutes but Library building remains open.
- 2 warning bells: 30 minutes to building closing. You have 15 minutes to log off and prepare to leave the Library.
- 3 warning bells: starting to close down (lights will go out; C floor, then B & A floors); please make your way out of the Library.
